The lamp of liberty in an age of crisis

In consequence of the public health measures undertaken by governments across the globe, there has been a dramatic eradication of liberty and the rule of law.

This article discusses the effect upon the western value of liberty, of taking emergency public health measures. It asks whether the consequences for liberty can be reversed at the end of the Coronavirus crisis, or whether their impacts may be permanent.
